PAYMENT

All items must be paid for by the closing of the online bidding. For your convenience, payments will be made by credit cards. Credit card information is housed by our merchant processing system and can only be used for purchasing auction items or making a cash donation for this event. Credit card information is not available to anyone working at the auction or anyone at BASIS DC.

DELIVERY & PICK UP

You will receive an electronic receipt for the items you have won. Items will be available by electronic certificate, for pick-up at the event, or for pick-up at BASIS DC. It is your responsibility to collect all items you have won.

SCHEDULE & DATES OF EVENTS/ACTIVITIES

All efforts have been made to extend expiration dates and/or schedule a date for activities/events taking into consideration the concerns and realities of COVID-19.  Actual dates of events will be at the discretion of the donor/host based on what is deemed most viable, practical, and safe for all attendees.

TERMS OF SALE

Unless otherwise noted on the gift certificate, all certificates for goods and services must be used within one year of the auction date. All items and services are subject to the terms and conditions specified by the donors. All sales are final. There will be no exchanges or refunds. BASIS DC Boosters and BASIS DC do not make any expressed or implied warranties or guarantees on auction items or services. BASIS has attempted to describe and catalog all items correctly, but all items are offered and sold AS IS and WITH ALL FAULTS.

BASIS DC Boosters and BASIS DC neither warrants nor represents, and in no event shall be responsible for the correctness of descriptions, genuineness, authorship, provenance, or condition of the items. No statement made in this program or made orally at the auction or elsewhere shall be deemed such a warranty for tax purposes or market value. Items have not been appraised unless otherwise noted. Reservations for trips, vacation accommodations, and event tickets must be mutually arranged with the donor unless otherwise noted. No refunds will be allowed on travel packaged for canceled tickets and/or accommodations.

By the buyer’s purchase, the buyer waives any claim for liability against BASIS DC Boosters and BASIS DC, its elected and appointed official, member and employee’s sponsors, and volunteers connected with the auction, and/or the donor of the item. Neither BASIS nor the donor is responsible for any personal injuries or damage that may result from the use of the property or services.

TAX INFORMATION

The catalog lists the fair market value of each item. Any amount you pay in excess of the fair market value would normally be available to you as a charitable contribution for tax purposes. Please check with your tax advisor for specifics.
